Job Description
The AutoCAD Supervisor will lead CAD operations in support of a secure federal facilities contract. This position is responsible for supervising employees, establishing workflow priorities, maintaining drawing standards, monitoring performance, and ensuring that customer requests are completed accurately and on schedule.
The supervisor will also serve as an AutoCAD subject matter expert and provide support involving CAD requests, drawing reviews, prints, quality control, project planning, and estimating.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, assign, and monitor work based on project priorities, assignment difficulty, and employee capabilities.
Establish daily, weekly, and monthly operating schedules.
Track productivity, quality, deadlines, and performance metrics.
Perform quality-control inspections and resolve drawing discrepancies.
Supervise, train, counsel, and evaluate employees.
Participate in hiring, promotions, reassignment recommendations, and disciplinary actions.
Respond to customer questions involving CAD, drawing requests, prints, and drawing reviews.
Create, implement, and enforce AutoCAD and Revit standards.
Serve as the technical subject matter expert for AutoCAD operations.
Assist engineering management with project planning, estimating, customer coordination, contract development, and quality assurance.
Prepare timesheets, evaluations, training materials, and other required administrative documentation.
Identify employee development needs and coordinate appropriate training.
Ensure compliance with government security, safety, quality-control, training, and PPE requirements.
Provide employees with the equipment and resources necessary to perform their work safely and efficiently.
Recommend and implement improvements to productivity, quality, and customer service.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and at least five years of related experience, or a high school diploma or equivalent and at least 10 years of related experience.
Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, and BUILDER.
Experience completing and reviewing CAD-related projects.
Previous leadership, supervisory, or team-lead experience.
Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI security clearance with polygraph.
Preferred Skills
Experience with Archibus or another computerized maintenance management system.
Knowledge of project-management software and Microsoft Office.
Experience establishing CAD standards and quality-control procedures.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage competing priorities, resolve problems, and provide responsive customer service.
