Job Description
Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Windows Engineer to support a company focused on cybersecurity operations, engineering, and compliance for the Department of Energy (DOE) and National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA). This position is on-site in Washington, DC. The Windows Engineer will design, implement, and support enterprise Windows infrastructure, server environments, and endpoint management solutions, with a strong focus on Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM). Join a mission-critical program supporting the security and reliability of the nation's nuclear security infrastructure.

Responsibilities for the Windows Engineer include:
- Install, configure, maintain, and optimize Windows servers, workstations, and associated technologies to ensure system performance and availability.
- Administer and support MECM, Active Directory, Group Policy, and enterprise endpoint management solutions.
- Develop, test, and deploy automation solutions using PowerShell and other scripting tools to improve operational efficiency.
- Monitor system health, remediate vulnerabilities, manage patching activities, and implement security controls across Windows environments.
- Support IIS, SSL certificate management, backup and disaster recovery processes, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex technical issues.
Required Qualifications for the Windows Engineer include:
- 5+ years of experience supporting Windows Server environments, systems administration, or Windows engineering initiatives.
- Strong experience with MECM/SCCM, Active Directory, Group Policy, PowerShell, Windows Server, patch management, and endpoint administration.
- Experience with vulnerability remediation, system automation, IIS administration, backup and recovery, and enterprise infrastructure support.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Active DOE Q Clearance or Top Secret Clearance.
Compensation for the Windows Engineer include:
- Salary Range: $170,000 - $190,000 depending on experience
