Standard Job Description

This position requires active Top Secret Security Clearance within the past 5 years.

This position will function as the providing multi-disciplined security support for various programs at the Deer Creek and Waterton, CO Campus.

Responsibilities include:

- Interprets and implements the NISPOM, DoD 5205.7 and ICD manuals and directives.

- Keeps up to date on all changes to security policy and directives issued by cognizant Government Security organizations.

- Prepares security plans, procedures and briefings for all areas of the security department.

- Partners with internal and external customers and teammates.

- Multi-tasks in a fast-paced environment.

- Demonstrates sound judgment, a strong attention to detail, make effective decisions and deliver on time results.

The selected candidate may be responsible for multiple facets of security operations such as physical security, visitor control, document control, classification management, personnel security, security investigations, developing and delivering security briefings, self-inspections, risk identification/mitigation and other tasks as required.

Develops, administers and audits security programs for compliance with government regulations associated with the protection of classified material and export controlled data. Develops and executes security programs associated with the protection of proprietary information in compliance with corporate policies. Performs in individual and team roles supporting all contractual security requirements for Special Access Programs (SAP), Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) programs or DOD collateral classified programs. Serves as a Contractor Program Security Officer (CPSO), a Contractor Special Security Officer (CSSO) or a Security Representative. Studies and implements federal security regulations that apply to company compliance and contract execution as set forth in SAP security rules (JAFAN/JSIG), SCI security rules (ICD) or DOD security rules (NISPOM). Works closely with U. S. Government customers to seek contract execution approvals and seeks security rulings or deviations. Provides support in managing the quality, schedule and cost expectations associated with program development and execution, while maintaining the fundamental security requirements defined by the customer/company and program. Prepares implementation manuals outlining regulations, and establishes procedures for handling, storing, keeping records, and for granting personnel and visitors access to classified materials. Develops and conducts security education classes. Investigates security violations and prepares reports specifying preventive action to be taken. Applies business-minded and risk-managed solutions to security issues and business challenges, and communicates observations and recommendations to leadership and enterprise business partners. Processes clearances and customer visits and provides support for classified meetings.

Basic Qualifications

  • Active Top Secret Security Clearance within the past 5 years
  • Demonstrated knowledge of DoD 5205.07
  • Prior experience in personnel security and program security (CPSO/CSSO) with Special Access Programs (SAPs).


Desired Skills

  • Experience in the process of contructing a SAPF
  • Extensive knowledge of all SAP security taskings
  • Proven success in SAP customer inspections and knowledge of the SAP inspection checklist


Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $81500.00 - $151300.00

  • For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
