Our client seeks a senior Systems Engineer to perform advanced installation, operation, integration, and troubleshooting to maintain stable IT system operations. The role designs and oversees upgrades and new implementations while coordinating with cyber security. It manages Tier III upgrades and troubleshooting across networking, systems, and storage, and optimizes core network services and routing. The position integrates enterprise, regional, and local systems to sustain current operations and lead recovery when required.
Due to federal security clearance requirements, applicant must be a United States Citizen with an active Top Secret clearance. Due to client requirements, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. Responsibilities
Perform advanced systems installation, operation, integration, and troubleshooting to maintain IT system performance.
Design and oversee upgrades and new installs of IT systems and services with coordination from Cyber Security specialists.
Execute Tier III upgrades of networking, IT systems, and storage networking.
Conduct Tier III troubleshooting, optimization, and performance management of IP, DNS, DHCP, and routing protocols.
Integrate enterprise, regional, and local IT systems to sustain current operations or oversee their recovery.
Experience Requirements
Ten or more years of IT experience covering IPv6, EIGRP, BGP, VLANs, VPNs, and NAT.
Proven experience with Tier III operational support, upgrades, and performance optimization across network and system domains.
Background coordinating with cyber security for secure design and change implementation.
Education Requirements
Must possess one or more of: Cisco CCNP, Cisco CCDP, Microsoft MTA, Microsoft MCSA, or Microsoft MCTS.
