Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Installing, configuring, and maintaining a Red Hat Linux operating system; 2) Configuring hardware and software information systems for layered network architectures; and 3) Managing security design and protecting IT services.

- You will serve as Lead Special Programs (SAP) Linux Systems Administrator for all NRL SAP Linux information Systems, under the purview of the NRL Code 1224 Section Head.
- You will be responsible for the installation, configuration, and maintenance of STIG'd Red Hat Linux operating system and process refinement to maximize automated services.
- You will ensure all Security measures including analysis, periodic testing, compliance with the organization's computing and network environment.
- You will administer assigned IT systems within assigned limited access environments and ensure security compliance.

- This is a Cyberspace Workforce position, work role code System Administrator, proficiency level Advanced the incumbent is required to obtain and maintain qualifications in DoDM 8140.03 Cyber Workforce Qualification and Department of Navy policies.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- This position is considered Key/Non-Combat Essential. You will be required to provide immediate and continuing support of the expeditionary requirements in other than combat or combat support situations.
