Business Process and Operations Analyst
The Business Process and Operations Analyst supports enterprise operations, business-process analysis and improvement, operational reporting, data analytics, IT portfolio coordination, technology evaluation, knowledge management, and organizational modernization. The individual works across functional teams to assess current processes, document requirements, identify inefficiencies, develop improved workflows, and help leadership implement sustainable operational improvements.
Key Responsibilities
• Conduct current-state and future-state business-process analysis.
• Facilitate stakeholder interviews, workshops, requirements sessions, and working groups.
• Develop process maps, workflows, SOPs, business rules, requirements, and implementation recommendations.
• Identify process bottlenecks, duplication, manual activities, control gaps, and opportunities for automation.
• Support continuous process improvement and organizational change initiatives.
• Develop operational metrics, KPIs, dashboards, and executive reporting.
• Analyze business and operational data and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
• Coordinate IT portfolio activities and track technology initiatives, dependencies, milestones, and risks.
• Evaluate proposed business-system capabilities and support technology-option analysis.
• Maintain requirements, action items, decision logs, process documentation, and knowledge-management artifacts.
• Support Agile workflows, backlogs, work prioritization, and cross-functional coordination.
• Create executive briefings, white papers, assessments, and decision-support materials.
Recommended Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in business, Management, Information Systems, Finance, Data Analytics, or related discipline.
• 5–7+ years of business analysis, management analysis, business-process improvement, or operational-analysis experience.
• Experience supporting complex organizations; Federal Government experience strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated business-process mapping and requirements-analysis experience.
• Strong analytical, facilitation, documentation, and executive-communication skills.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 and SharePoint.
• Working experience with Power BI, Tableau, Jira, ServiceNow, or similar analytical/workflow platforms.
Preferred Qualifications
• PMP, Lean Six Sigma, or Agile/Scrum certification.
• Federal IT portfolio-management experience.
• Power Automate or comparable workflow-automation experience.
• Experience developing executive dashboards and KPI framework
