Job Description
Piper Companies is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to support critical infrastructure initiatives within a government-focused technology environment. The Site Reliability Engineer will be responsible for maintaining Kubernetes platforms, automating infrastructure deployments with Terraform, and enhancing overall platform reliability.
Responsibilities of the Site Reliability Engineer:
• Manage and support Kubernetes clusters in production environments.
• Develop and maintain Terraform-based infrastructure deployments.
• Implement monitoring, alerting, and observability solutions.
• Participate in incident response and root cause analysis activities.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to improve system reliability.
• Automate routine operational processes and infrastructure management tasks.
Qualifications of the Site Reliability Engineer:
• Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
• 4+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or Infrastructure Engineering.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes administration and troubleshooting.
• Experience developing Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
• Familiarity with Linux systems and cloud platforms.
• Knowledge of monitoring tools and production support processes.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Compensation for the Site Reliability Engineer includes:
• Salary range: $130,000 - $180,000 depending on experience
