We are seeking a skilled professional to join our dynamic team as an Application Developer. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, implement, troubleshoot, and maintain high-quality technical solutions.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Security Clearance: Secret Clearance Required
- 5 years of programming experience, including low-level systems development.
- Strong proficiency in C, C++, and Python.
- Strong understanding of bitwise operations, memory management, networking, and communication protocols.
- Hands-on experience with middleware development.
- Experience with event brokers, event mesh architectures, and service mesh architectures.
- Knowledge of system engineering principles and best practices.
- Understanding of interoperability standards and integration methods.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps workflows.
- Knowledge of software design principles, including SOLID and DRY.
- Good understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Prior work experience at client or in client's industry.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in technical leadership, guidance, and mentorship of development teams.
- Experience in system integration and interoperability between legacy and modern technologies.
- Experience with event-driven and publish-subscribe architectures.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Develop, support, and maintain applications using C, C++, and Python.
- Perform low-level systems development and troubleshoot complex technical issues.
- Analyze and resolve application and system issues to ensure minimal client disruption.
- Design and implement technical solutions based on client requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement solutions.
- Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentorship to a team of 5-7 developers.
- Estimate Level of Effort (LOE) for tasks and projects.
- Manage, track, and prioritize team tasks in a dynamic environment.
- Lead and contribute to technical designs, specifications, and documentation.
- Review and evaluate solutions developed by internal teams and third-party vendors.
- Support middleware development, including event brokers and service mesh/event mesh architectures.
- Develop and support event-driven and publish-subscribe architectures.
- Apply software engineering best practices and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Work effectively within Agile/Scrum development environments.
