- Knowledge of assigned contracting and procurement specializations and applicable contracts including commercial and noncommercial contracts executed under the Federal Acquisition Regulation and Other Transaction Authority procedures;
- Planning, coordinating, negotiating, and assuring completion of approvals for long term pre-award and/or post-award procurement actions are completed within a timely manner; and
- Evaluating cost and pricing strategies.

This position is for a Limited Warrant Procuring Contracting Officer. There are one or more positions available in Stafford and Quantico supporting Portfolio Acquisition Executive Marine Corps (PAE MC).
Several vacancies may be filled.
Recruitment/Relocation expenses reimbursed: Yes-Relocation expenses (i.e. PCS) for candidates outside of the commuting area are authorized in accordance with applicable travel regulations and Department of Navy Policy.

- You will analyze and evaluate major contracting and purchasing requirements for complex programs, ensuring proposed actions meet mission needs, legal requirements, policies, and established procurement procedures.
- You will plan and carry out complex contracting actions, applying procurement laws, regulations, policies, and procedures to develop sound approaches for acquisitions that support program goals and technical requirements.
- You will provide expert advice to managers on difficult contracting matters, developing recommendations and solutions that address complex requirements, improve acquisition outcomes, and support timely program decisions.
- You will coordinate contracting activities with program officials, technical staff, and other organizations, ensuring required planning, approvals, negotiations, and documentation are completed accurately and on schedule.
- You will review completed contracting work for compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures, identifying problems or risks and recommending corrective actions when necessary.
- You will establish work priorities and schedules for assigned contracting activities, monitor progress, and ensure complex procurement actions are completed effectively while meeting program objectives and organizational requirements.
