The N170 Agile and Resilient Battle Management Division Operations Lead (DOL) directly supports the Division Director (DD), Chief Engineer (CE) and Senior Principal Mission Integrator. They will work collaboratively with other division, center and sector leaders to successfully execute the division strategy and advance key outcomes across the A&SFC. The DOL will partner with Human Resources, Finance, MTE, and will also engage with key Sponsors to help the DD manage relationships and shape the Division work program.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Work alongside the Division Director to:
  • Develop and implement the division strategy; shape and execute the work program and division goals
  • Participate in project reviews, capture and track all action items to closure
  • Manage and track the division overhead budget
  • Plan and execute the day-to-day division business operations - e.g., establish a division battle rhythm and operating plan, streamline division processes, communication, and tools
  • Track and ensure quality and timely completion of multiple, diverse, and quick turn taskers; ensure division leadership visibility and completion of priority tasks
  • Serve as a key communication conduit to ensure consistent messaging across the division; support development of quarterly highlights, Impact Stories, annual reports and MNS Performance Reviews (3 times a year)
  • Coordinate and organize annual MRT process, ensuring on-time delivery of inputs across division projects
  • Identify opportunities to build an inclusive work environment within the Division
  • Support the Division Chief Engineer with the development and management of any Firefly, Capstone, Capability Funds and Program Development/Special Initiative (PD/SI) proposals
  • As required, the DOL will engage with key Sponsors to help the MD manage relationships


Technical Capability

Strong technical knowledge and technical writing skills are required. The candidate should be able to apply these skills effectively in the execution of division objectives.

Work Leadership/ Management

The DOL will provide leadership and management within the division, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and fostering a productive work environment.

Scope/Scale

The role involves working across a broad scope, impacting multiple areas within the division and across the A&SFC, engaging with various stakeholders to achieve strategic outcomes.

Engagement

The DOL will engage with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring effective collaboration and communication to support division objectives.

Visibility

The position requires maintaining high visibility within the organization and with external partners to ensure alignment and support for division initiatives.

Environment

The role operates within a dynamic and fast-paced environment, requiring adaptability and resilience to manage changing priorities and demands.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 6 years and a Master's degree; or a PhD with 3 years' experience; or equivalent combination of related education and work experience.
  • Ability to engage with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring effective collaboration and communication to support division objectives
  • Takes initiative, proactively identifying opportunities, challenges, and solutions, and demonstrates a strong ability to drive results independently
  • Experience with and exhibits Player-Coach mentality - i.e., hands-on contributor, actively participates in day-to-day tasks while also mentoring and leading the team
  • Fosters a collaborative and accountable environment
  • Understanding of confidentiality and need to protect privileged information
  • Strong technical knowledge and technical writing and editing skills are required
  • Demonstrated experience in building trusted relationships
  • Strong financial acumen; experience with budgeting and financial tools
  • Must have an active Top Secret/SCI U.S Government issued Security Clearance. Per the U.S. Government's eligibility requirements, you must be a U.S Citizen to be considered for a security clearance.
  • This position requires a minimum of 3 days a week on-site.

Salary compensation range and midpoint:
$156,400 - $195,500 - $234,600 Annual
