A&P Mechanic

Indotronix is seeking an :

Onsite Job: A&P Mechanic

Work Location: Mojave, CA
Shift: 1st Shift, 6:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Work Schedule: 4/40 (Mon-Thu)
Education: High School Diploma or GED and A&P License

Position Description

Performs installation, test and repair of mechanical and electrical aircraft systems to include preventive maintenance, troubleshooting of mechanical and structural components for complex systems such as airframe and engine(s), ground vehicles, etc., as may be applicable. Works from, and assists in the development of, engineering drawings. Works independently, with minimal supervision. Read and interpret mechanical fabrication and installation drawings. Perform installation and troubleshooting of various mechanical systems on various military and FAA fixed and rotary wing aircraft. Ability to use basic hand tools and sheet metal modification tools.

Skills Required

• Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license
• Must be skilled in the use of hand tools
• Must be skilled in the use of air tools
• Experience using aircraft manuals

Skills Preferred

• Heavy aircraft maintenance experience
• Preferably DC-9 / MD80 aircraft experience
• Skilled in the use of rivet tools
• Sheet-metal experience
• Experience with machine tools such as:
  
  • Shears
  • Brakes
  • Notchers
  • Saws
  • Milling machines
  • Lathes
• Experience using measuring tools and test instruments

Experience Required

• 4 years of related experience

Experience Preferred

• Clearance not required to start the position, but must be eligible/able to obtain Top Secret clearance

Education Required

• High School Diploma or GED and A&P License

Education Preferred

• Associate's Degree
