The candidate will manage CM processes, tools, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure established baselines are maintained.

SAIC is seeking a detail-oriented Configuration Management (CM) Specialist to join our team in Huntsville, Alabama and oversee the integrity, consistency, and control of configuration items across project lifecycles. The candidate will manage CM processes, tools, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure established baselines are maintained.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain Configuration Management Plans (CMPs).
- Manage Configuration Control Board (CCB) processes and change requests.
- Track, report, and audit configuration items for compliance with baselines.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure defined CM processes.
Qualifications
Required Education:
- Bachelors and five (5) years or more experience; Masters and three (3) years or more experience; PhD and 0 years related experience; four (4) years of experience considered in lieu of degree.
Qualifications:
- Proficiency with CM tools (e.g., Jira, Git, ClearCase).
- Familiarity with industry standards (e.g., ISO 10007, IEEE/EIA 12207).
- Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- CM certification (e.g., CMII).
- Experience with government/DoD contracts and standards.
Clearance:
- Active Secret Clearance required to start.
