Job Description

Duties

  • Plan quarterly, monthly and weekly work schedules and sequences of operations for subordinates.
  • Oversee planning for the draw, issue, delivery and turn in of ammunition and explosives to support the schedules.
  • Assign, direct and manage the work of civilian personnel executing ammunition and explosives handling and transportation operations.
  • Explain work requirements, methods and procedures.
  • Develop performance standards, counsel employees on performance, and makes formal and informal performance appraisals.
  • Identify employee's training needs and coordinates to accomplish the necessary training.

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires the incumbent to be able to obtain and maintain a Defensive Drivers Course (DDC) Card, and a valid state driver's license.
  • The possession of a Class "A" Commercial Driver's License (CDL), with HAZMAT endorsements is preferred, but not required for this position.
  • This position may require overtime work, some working at night, weekends and holidays and may require the incumbent to work alternate or flexible work schedules in support of cyclic training schedules.
  • Pre-appointment medical examination/physical is required.
  • This position meets the criteria for compliance with Federal and Department of the Army Drug Free Workplace Programs. Detection of the presence of drugs is warranted. This position is subject to a pre-employment screening and random testing.

Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to do the work of an Motor Vehicle Operator (FLO/Material Handler) Supervisor without more than normal supervision. Must possess the ability to perform common technical and administrative supervisory duties. I am skilled in workforce planning, training and employee development, and administrative and employee management. I am skilled in prioritizing workload based off of priorities and future deadlines; identifying training needs and implementing training plans; utilizing automated systems to track production; and analyzing work plans of subordinates and monitoring the status of their work in relation to the overall schedule requirements. - Failure to meet this Screen Out Element will result in an ineligible rating.
