Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-01/04) or pay band (NC-01) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing most or all of the following duties: (1) utilizing office automation equipment and processes; (2) performing administrative and clerical duties (e.g., filing, answering phone calls, making appointments); (3) generating reports, typing, ensuring grammatical correctness of correspondence, and ensuring proper routing procedures are followed; (4) providing assistance to others through customer service in an office/business setting; and (5) maintaining calendars.
This position requires the ability to type at least 40 words per minute. Your response to the typing skill question on the Occupational Questionnaire will be used in your qualification determination.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). - You will manage the flow of clerical processes.
- You will prepare non-technical professional correspondence; abstracts, articles, and reports.
- You will arrange meetings and travel.
- You will maintain an accurate digital filing system of all Branch records, including correspondence, memos, travel orders/claims, training/purchase requests and other branch materials.
- You will receive, review, and determine which incoming correspondence should be forwarded to Branch Head for action.
- You will submit incoming visitor information and forms to security for approval.
- You will prepare Branch personnel actions such as promotions, recruitments and resignations.
- You will create and execute purchase requests in support of Branch needs.
