Location: Remote / contractor facility, with occasional on-site work at client headquarters in Arlington, VA
Anticipated Start: On or about 22 September 2026
Employment Type: Full-time, contingent upon contract award

About the Role

Defense Acquisition Support Services LLC is seeking a Senior Executive Consultant to support the Office of the Director at a federal law enforcement component of the Department of Justice. This position is contingent upon contract award. We are identifying qualified candidates now so that we can move quickly if we are selected.

You will work directly in support of senior executive staff, producing the written products that leadership relies on to communicate, plan, and decide. This is a writing-forward advisory role for someone who is comfortable operating at the head-of-component level and turning executive direction into finished, publication-ready material.

What You Will Do
  • Executive communications. Draft, edit, and finalize speeches, talking points, remarks, and executive correspondence. Develop written materials that present key issues, background considerations, and potential implications, and structure content so leadership can decide from it. Tailor messaging for internal, external, and public audiences.
  • Annual reports and official publications. Synthesize information from data calls, program inputs, and policy guidance into narrative content that conveys organizational performance. Present information in layouts, formats, charts, and graphics that surface key issues and risks. Develop training tools in print, electronic, and video media.
  • Strategic planning. Draft and edit strategic plans, implementation plans, and supporting documentation. Translate executive direction into structured, actionable content aligned to Departmental strategic goals and performance frameworks.
  • Project management. Assess current status and future requirements, then develop and hold to milestones, budgets, and timelines. Coordinate presentation and training materials, correspondence, communication and media materials, and nationwide budget and financial materials.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Ten years of specialized experience directly related to the duties above
  • U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a favorably adjudicated NACI background investigation
  • Demonstrated experience working with and collaborating across federal agencies
  • Demonstrated experience developing strategic plans and project plans
  • Experience working with senior executive leadership core qualifications and workplans
  • Working knowledge of federal government regulations
  • Advanced proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting a judicial or law enforcement organization
  • Prior experience within the Department of Justice or a DOJ component
  • Speechwriting for senior government executives
  • Experience producing annual reports or official agency publications
  • Familiarity with SES performance frameworks and Departmental strategic planning cycles
