Our client is seeking a Business Financial Manager (BFM) to support the Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Navy for Financial Management and Comptroller (OASN FM&C) to provide hands-on budget execution support. This onsite role at the Pentagon requires an active or interim DoD Secret clearance and expertise in PBIS and Navy ERP budget execution. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working independently, interacting directly with senior-level customers, and managing complex financial requirements in a fast-moving environment where priorities can shift quickly.

Desired Skills & Experience:
● Active DoD Secret clearance (interim accepted)
● Bachelor’s degree required (business or related field)
● 5+ years of experience with DoD Budget experience with at least three years of experience as a BFM for the Navy or USMC using Navy ERP or USMC DAI for budget execution
● Independent expertise cutting purchase requisitions (PRs) and purchase orders (POs) in Navy ERP or DAI and foundational experience working PBIS
● Advanced proficiency with Excel (creating pivot tables, nested formulas, etc.)
● Experience creating storyboard messaging to stakeholders
● Strong client-facing communication, critical-thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills; ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment

Key Responsibilities:
● Execute day-to-day Navy budget activities, including monitoring obligations, expenditures, funding availability, and execution against approved plans
● Draft funding documents, purchase requisitions (PRs) and manage purchase orders (POs)
● Develop and maintain complext spend plans across multiple programs and requirement owners
● Support budget formulation, justification, planning, and programming activities, including financial projections, funding profiles, and decision-support materials
● Analyze financial and operational data, develop reports and executive-level presentations, and provide recommendations to senior leadership
● Work directly with client stakeholders to identify issues, evaluate funding options, support execution tracking, and ensure compliance with applicable Navy and DoD requirements
