Test Engineer (Entry-Level)

Job Description:

DecisionPoint Corporation is seeking an Entry-Level Test Engineer to support our U.S. Transportation Command (USTRANSCOM) Integrated Booking System (IBS) program. This role is responsible for developing, enhancing, and maintaining software applications that support mission-critical transportation and logistics operations.

The Test Engineer will contribute to front-end and/or back-end development efforts, utilizing technologies such as Angular and Java-based frameworks, based on experience and program needs. This position supports sustainment and enhancement activities across the system lifecycle and works closely with senior developers and technical leadership to ensure quality and reliability of software solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop automated test scripts and frameworks to validate software functionality
• Execute manual and automated testing across various environments and configurations
• Identify, document, and track defects and issues through the defect management process
• Collaborate with developers, QA analysts, and product owners to ensure high-quality software delivery
• Participate in agile development processes, including sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives
• Support continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines
• Maintain test documentation and ensure compliance with quality standards

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• 0-2 years of experience in software testing or quality assurance
• Proficiency in testing methodologies, including unit testing, integration testing, system testing, and regression testing
• Experience with test automation tools such as Selenium, JUnit, or similar frameworks
• Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and testing life cycle (TLC)
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Angular, Java, or other modern web technologies
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, or Azure DevOps
• Familiarity with version control systems like Git
• Understanding of security testing and performance testing concepts

Clearance Requirements:
This position requires a Secret security clearance. The ability to obtain a Secret clearance is required.
