The Systems/Junior Furniture Installer/Mover supports furniture installation, reconfiguration, repair, relocation, and inventory activities. This position works under the direction of project leads and Space Planners to ensure furniture systems are installed, maintained, and reconfigured accurately and safely while providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install, reconfigure, and relocate modular office furniture systems.
  • Support furniture repair and maintenance activities.
  • Assist with furniture inventory management and staging operations.
  • Read and follow installation drawings and specifications.
  • Assist with office moves and workspace reconfiguration projects.
  • Move furniture, crates, office equipment, and related materials safely.
  • Coordinate with Space Planners and installation teams to complete workspace projects.
  • Help maintain organized warehouse and staging areas.
  • Follow established workplace safety procedures and furniture handling standards.
  • Support furniture key and lock installation activities.
  • Ensure installations are completed accurately and according to project requirements.
  • Provide professional customer service while working within occupied office environments.


Minimum Qualifications:
  • Experience installing and reconfiguring modular office furniture systems.
  • Knowledge of Herman Miller Action Office Two (AO2) and Canvas furniture systems.
  • Knowledge of Allsteel Strive and Steelcase Answers systems.
  • Familiarity with KI Genius systems and Steelcase demountable glass wall partitions.
  • Furniture repair experience.
  • Experience handling, storing, and transporting systems furniture.
  • Experience moving office furniture, equipment, boxes, and crates.
  • Ability to follow installation plans and instructions.
  • Strong customer service and teamwork skills.
  • Knowledge of safe lifting, handling, and storage techniques.
