Summary/Objective
Five Stones Research Corporation (5SRC) is seeking energetic candidates to join our established and growing Huntsville-headquartered team.
Essential Functions
- Support the development of complex systems using MBSE, SysML/UML, and digital engineering practices
- Build, maintain, and manage system models in Cameo Systems Modeler and IBM Rhapsody
- Create SysML/UML diagrams (use case, activity, sequence, BDD, IBD, state machines)
- Translate requirements into model-based representations with full traceability
- Perform system architecture development, functional analysis, and interface definition
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to establish system architectures and technical baselines
- Communicate designs clearly using model-based visualizations
- Support technical reviews with model-derived evidence and documentation
- Automate model-driven reporting and maintain configuration control of system models
- Contribute to MBSE workflows, standards, and best practices
Required Education and Experience
- Education: Masters' in STEM related field from an accredited institution with 10 years of relevant IT experience working on missile defense-related or other complex, large DoD programs / projects
- Acceptable alternative: Bachelor's Degree with 15 years of relevant IT experience working on missile defense- related or other complex, large DoD programs / projects
- Works independently, as a team member, or leading teams / tasks, applying engineering rigor to solve engineering / scientific problems
- Must possess the ability to develop technical solutions to complex problems which require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with MBSE in aerospace, defense, or mission-critical systems
- Familiarity with DoDAF, UAF, or architecture frameworks
- Experience with DOORS Next or other requirements management tools
- Understanding of digital engineering ecosystems and model integration
- Scripting experience (Java, Python, Cameo/Rhapsody APIs)
- Knowledge of model-based verification planning
