Job Description
MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Junior Software Developer to join our team in Doral, FL.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code to support backend web services, application logic, and RESTful APIs.
- Assist in designing, developing, and unit testing responsive front-end user interfaces and web components.
- Collaborate with cross-functional development teams in Agile software ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
- Help troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application deficiencies to ensure optimal system performance and reliability.
- Develop and optimize database scripts, queries, and schemas within relational database management systems.
- Containerize applications and assist with automated deployments, configuration management, and version control workflows.
- Assist in creating and updating user documentation, technical specifications, and system architectural diagrams.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related STEM discipline. A bachelor's degree can be substituted for four (4) or more years of relevant experience.
- Foundational experience developing in at least one modern programming language such as Python, Java, C#, or C++.
- Basic familiarity with front-end web technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
- Understanding of database fundamentals and experience writing standard SQL queries.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with modern front-end frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
- Familiarity with application containerization tools like Docker and automated configuration tools like Ansible.
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines, automated testing frameworks, and cloud-hosted environments.
- Active CompTIA Security+ certification (or ability to acquire within 6 months of hire).
Clearance Requirements:
- Must be a US Citizen
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain an interim Secret security clearance prior to starting.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
- Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
- Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
