Software Engineer-Developer 4 (Hybrid - Oklahoma City, OK) About the Role Join a dynamic team as a Software Engineer-Developer 4, delivering mission-critical solutions in the defense and security sector. You will leverage your embedded real-time software expertise in an agile, collaborative environment, working closely with both modern development tools and high-fidelity lab equipment tied directly to aircraft hardware. This is a hybrid position, with flexibility for onsite work and a supportive, growth-focused culture. Responsibilities - Design, develop, and rigorously test embedded software components and functions - Engage in software functional requirements development and architecture refinement - Specify and document robust internal and external software interfaces - Conduct test-driven development and execute thorough software testing - Lead and participate in peer reviews across the software development lifecycle - Collaborate and contribute as a core member of an Agile development team - Support sprint planning and consistently deliver on sprint commitments - Troubleshoot issues in a high-fidelity lab with direct aircraft hardware integration Required Skills and Experience - Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry - 8+ years' hands-on experience with embedded real-time software development - Proficiency in Ada programming language - Strong background in Agile methodologies and related tools (Git, Jira, Confluence) - Demonstrated experience in software testing, defect resolution, and multi-threaded applications - Experience supporting aerospace or defense programs, mission-critical systems, avionics, weapons or radar systems, or military aircraft - Active, inactive, or eligible Secret or Top Secret clearance (or ability to obtain) Preferred Skills - Previous technical experience within an aerospace environment - Advanced skills designing and implementing multi-threaded real-time applications - Self-motivated, proactive problem-solver with strong communication skills Benefits - Flexible hybrid work model with core onsite requirements in Oklahoma City - First-shift schedule with flexible start/end times between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. - Exposure to high-impact defense and aerospace programs - Career advancement opportunities in a supportive, Agile-driven team - Initial onsite training and opportunities for periodic travel (non-local candidates) How to Apply If you are authorized to work in the U.S. and meet these qualifications, submit your application today to become a part of a high-performing engineering team shaping the future of defense technology.
