Job Description
Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Windows Engineer to support a company focused on securing and modernizing critical federal IT infrastructure supporting national security operations. This position is on-site in Washington, DC . The Windows Engineer will design, implement, and maintain enterprise Windows environments, with a strong focus on Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM), server infrastructure, and systems automation. This is an opportunity to play a key role in supporting mission-critical systems that directly impact the reliability, security, and performance of a highly visible federal environment.

Responsibilities for the Windows Engineer include:
- Design, deploy, and maintain Windows Server infrastructure, workstations, and enterprise applications.
- Administer and optimize MECM environments for software deployment, patch management, and endpoint compliance.
- Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, user permissions, and enterprise access controls.
- Automate administrative and operational processes using PowerShell and other scripting languages.
- Monitor system performance, remediate vulnerabilities, troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues, and support virtualization technologies.
Required Qualifications for the Windows Engineer include:
- 5+ years of experience administering and engineering enterprise Windows environments.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM), Windows Server, Active Directory, VMware , and virtualization technologies.
- Strong expertise with PowerShell scripting , system automation, patch management, and security best practices.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Active Top Secret Clearance or DOE Q Clearance required.
