The Work
In this role, you will collaborate with industry-leading professionals and contribute to groundbreaking projects. Be a part of the Integrated Common Processor (ICP) program Systems Engineering Team. The ICP program provides a common Integrated Undersea Surveillance Systems (IUSS) signal processing and display system software and hardware suite for the US Navy.
Work with our team to develop tools for our Navy customer as we deliver the latest capabilities for the fleets tactical systems.
As a Systems Engineer you will:
• Work closely with the engineering teams responsible for architecture, software development, integration and test
• Support model-based systems engineering efforts for internal activities and customer deliverables
• Be responsible for owning engineering products across multi-disciplinary teams
• Review and provide input to product design ensuring compliance with engineering principles, company standards, customer contract requirements
• Have a complete understanding and grasp on a wide application of technical systems engineering principles
• Develop imaginative, thorough, practical, and consistent technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems
• Develop and maintain systems engineering documentation (requirements, system design, interface definition, etc.)

Standard Job Description: Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications. For positions that perform IT responsibilities, use E646, Systems Engr-IT.
Basic Qualifications
Must be able to obtain an Interim Secret DoD Security Clearance prior to starting this position
• Bachelor's Degree in related STEM discipline with 2+ years of related experience; experience in lieu of degree.
• Experience with system analysis and requirements decomposition.
• Experience with Test Method definition and Test Procedure development.
• Experience with system modeling (Model Based Systems Engineering - SysML).
• Experience with requirements verification.
Desired Skills
• Experience working in the ASW field (underwater acoustics domain experience)
• Experience with MATLAB
• Experience with Signal Processing, SONAR, and/or Acoustics
• Experience with DOORS
• Experience with Java, C++, or Python
• General knowledge of networks, communication link bandwidth needs, and quality of service (QOS) analysis
• Experience with Automated Test
• Experience in program execution of large, complex systems
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills

Full-Time Salary Range: $79300.00 - $147300.00
