Kentro is hiring for Power Platform Engineer to support the United States Army Special Operations Command (USASOC) Chief Data and Analytics Office (CDAO) under the EDAT program in Fayetteville, NC. The Power Platform Engineer will design, develop, integrate, and sustain Microsoft Power Platform solutions that support USASOC CDAO business processes, data management, workflow automation, reporting, and mission requirements.
The successful candidate will work closely with government stakeholders, project managers, data engineers, application developers, analysts, cybersecurity personnel, and other technical teams to translate operational requirements into secure, scalable, and user-focused solutions using the Microsoft Power Platform.
Location: Onsite in Fayetteville, NC

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain Microsoft Power Platform solutions supporting USASOC CDAO.
- Develop business applications using Microsoft Power Apps, including Canvas Apps and Model-Driven Apps.
- Develop automated workflows and business processes using Power Automate.
- Develop dashboards, reports, and data visualizations using Power BI.
- Configure and maintain Microsoft Dataverse environments, tables, relationships, business rules, and security roles.
- Integrate Power Platform solutions with Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Teams, Azure services, APIs, databases, and other enterprise applications.
- Develop custom connectors and integrations where required.
- Translate government and mission requirements into technical designs and functional Power Platform solutions.
- Participate in requirements gathering, technical design sessions, sprint planning, demonstrations, and user acceptance testing.
- Develop reusable components, templates, workflows, and solutions to improve development efficiency.
- Configure Power Platform environments and solutions in accordance with enterprise governance and security requirements.
- Support application lifecycle management and deployment across development, test, and production environments.
- Troubleshoot application, workflow, integration, performance, and data issues.
- Perform testing and validation of applications and automated processes.
- Implement appropriate security controls, permissions, data access, and governance practices.
- Support integration of Power Platform applications with enterprise and mission data sources.
- Develop technical documentation, application specifications, data-flow diagrams, configuration documentation, and user guides.
- Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to ensure Power Platform applications use accurate and reliable data.
- Support Power BI data models, semantic models, dashboards, and reports.
- Monitor application performance and identify opportunities for optimization.
- Support Power Platform governance, administration, and environment management activities.
- Participate in Agile development activities and maintain work items in applicable project-management tools.
- Use source control, deployment processes, and DevSecOps practices where applicable.
- Provide technical recommendations to project and government leadership.
- Mentor junior personnel and share Power Platform development best practices.
- Support continuous improvement of CDAO application development and automation capabilities.
- Perform other engineering duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Data Analytics, Business Information Systems, or a related technical field; equivalent experience may be considered.
- Experience: 3+ years of professional experience in software engineering, application development, Power Platform development, or a related technical discipline.
- Technical Skills:
- AIT II Certification Required
- Demonstrated hands-on experience with Microsoft Power Platform.
- Experience developing solutions using Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI.
- Experience with Microsoft Dataverse.
- Experience integrating Power Platform with SharePoint, Microsoft 365, APIs, databases, or other enterprise systems.
- Experience with application development lifecycle processes, including requirements, development, testing, deployment, and sustainment.
- Experience with relational databases and SQL.
- Understanding of REST APIs and system integration concepts.
- Experience troubleshooting application and workflow issues.
- Ability to independently execute assigned technical tasks and communicate progress, risks, and technical issues.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with government customers and cross-functional technical teams.
Preferred Qualifications:

- Power Platform Developer Associate
- Power Platform Functional Consultant Associate
- Power Platform App Maker Associate
- Power BI Data Analyst Associate
- Experience supporting USSOCOM, USASOC, DoD, or other federal government organizations.
- Experience developing solutions in classified or highly controlled environments.
- Experience with Azure and Azure-based integrations.
- Experience with Azure Functions, Logic Apps, Azure SQL, or other Azure services.
- Experience with SharePoint Online and SharePoint Framework.
- Experience with Power Platform governance and Center of Excellence concepts.
- Experience with Power Platform ALM and managed/unmanaged solutions.
- Experience using Power Platform pipelines or CI/CD processes.
- Experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, C#, or PowerShell.
- Experience developing custom connectors and API integrations.
- Experience with Microsoft Purview, Defender, Entra ID, or other Microsoft security and governance technologies.
- Experience with data engineering, data governance, or enterprise analytics environments.
- Familiarity with DoD cybersecurity and Risk Management Framework (RMF) requirements.
Clearance Requirement:
- Minimum active Top Secret clearance required
