Job Description

Position Summary

MAG is seeking BBD-700 rated ISR pilots who meet our high standards of aviator skills, safety, professionalism, and customer focus.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Duties include, but not limited to :
  • The Pilot shall ensure safe, effective and efficient flight operations to include identification of aircraft maintenance faults and corrective actions.
  • All safety of flight documentation shall be completed and documented in accordance with applicable industry and FAA standards.
  • Pilot is responsible for pre-flight planning, aircraft pre-flight check, coordinating with Airborne Sensor Operators (ASO) and Mission Commanders who operate the on-board sensor systems and are responsible for mission execution and operations.
  • Pilot will monitor airspace, weather, radio communications, mission flight boundaries, and aircraft systems.
  • Pilot will coordinate all flights with appropriate Fixed Base Operators, military range control, Air Traffic Control (ATC) facilities (military and civilian), Primary Mission Equipment (PME) Operators, Mission Commanders, and the Site Operations Officer.
  • Pilot will operate modified Contractor Owned Contractor Operated aircraft in accordance with commercial and Host Nation regulations, and program policies and procedures. Will fly day and night, under VMC/IMC; maintain night currency and instrument proficiency.
  • Perform additional duties when directed by the MAG Chief Pilot.
  • Pilot will place special emphasis on crew member safety and customer relations.


Requirements

Minimum Requirements

Required Skills: (skills a candidate MUST have to be considered for a position)
  • Requirements include 3,000 hours of total time, 2,000 hours of PIC time, and 1,000 hours of multi-engine turbine time. The total time, PIC time, and multi-engine time can be waived by the MAG Chief Pilot for prior military service personnel who are type rated in the BBD-700 and have a minimum of 500 hours in the BBD-700 (simulator time not applicable).
  • Must possess a current FAA Class II Medical Certificate.
  • Must possess a current FAA Commercial Pilot (CPL) or Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) license.
  • Must possess an FCC Commercial Radio Operator License.
  • Must have attended SERE level C or SERE 220 or SV83/83A.
  • Current / valid passport and be able to obtain a visa to travel internationally.

Preferred Skills: (skills that are not necessary but will make a candidate more qualified for the position)
  • Former US military or government law enforcement pilot.
  • Prior overseas rotation experience, particularly in USCENTCOM/USAFRICOM/USAPACOM area of operations.
  • Experience supporting USSOCOM in global operations.
  • Experience operating aircraft with a MTOW of 44,000 pounds or more.
  • BBD-700 type rating.

Preferred Education / Certification / Experience : (education that is not necessary but will make a candidate more qualified for the position)

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent, and seven to nine years of related experience.

Location:
  • CONUS and OCONUS locations.
  • Possibly austere and primitive location(s).
  • Must be willing to deploy OCONUS on an approximate 60/60 rotation.

Security Clearance:
  • Must possess an active Top-Secret clearance.

Additional Eligibility Qualifications:
  • Candidates hired for this position will be subject to a post offer, pre-hire, pre-deployment medical assessment.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Must possess a valid passport with at least six months remaining prior to expiration.
