Job Description

Duties

  • Serve as the Senior Acquisition Management Liaison and Subject Matter Expert (SME).
  • Prepare, coordinate, and analyze acquisition materials to support contracting decisions.
  • Administer and monitor contract performance throughout the full lifecycle.
  • Represent the organization on acquisition matters and maintain acquisition program visibility.
  • Trains and supports Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) to ensure compliance with acquisition requirements.

Basic Requirement for Acquisition Program Specialist, NH-1101:

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Advising and collaborating with stakeholders to develop and review documents such as Statements of Work (SOWs), Performance Work Statements (PWSs), task orders, and related acquisition documents to ensure performance requirements and criteria are accurately defined; 2) Creating cost estimates and monitoring contractor expenditures to support informed decision-making during the acquisition process; 3) Experience assisting Contracting Officer's Representatives with inspections, audits, or status reporting for assigned contract actions. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (NH-02).

**This is a Defense Acquisition Workforce position. The employee must meet the DODI 5000.66 requirements applicable to the Career Category/Functional Area and the Career Level Certification assigned on the sequenced position Conditions of Employment data filed in the header of the PD/PRD.

Program Management Practitioner Level II: This is a DOD Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position. Selectee must meet position requirements for Program Management certification within 60 months as of entrance on duty.
