In this role you will provide acquisition support within a logistics office that manages and tracks procurement requirements and contracts. This position will support the procurement team-not a contracting office-by ensuring acquisition-related documentation, tracking, organization, and compliance activities are complete, accurate, and audit-ready.

Tharros has an immediate opportunity for an Acquisition Consultant to join our team. In this role you will provide acquisition support within a logistics office that manages and tracks procurement requirements and contracts. This position will support the procurement team-not a contracting office-by ensuring acquisition-related documentation, tracking, organization, and compliance activities are complete, accurate, and audit-ready.
Additional responsibilities include:
- Track current procurement requirements and contracts managed within the logistics office.
- Maintain accurate and organized acquisition records, files, documentation, and supporting materials.
- Monitor acquisition actions and documentation to ensure required steps, approvals, and supporting records are completed and properly documented.
- Conduct quality-control reviews of acquisition files for completeness, consistency, and compliance with applicable policies and procedures.
- Identify missing, incomplete, or inconsistent documentation and coordinate with the appropriate personnel to resolve issues.
- Maintain tracking tools and status reports to provide visibility into requirements, procurement actions, contract status, and outstanding documentation.
- Support the procurement team with documentation preparation, records management, and administrative coordination throughout the acquisition process.
- Ensure acquisition records are organized and maintained in a manner that supports internal and external audits.
- Assist with preparing documentation and records for audits, reviews, and compliance assessments.
- Coordinate with logistics, procurement, program, and other stakeholders to obtain required information and documentation.
- Maintain confidentiality and exercise attention to detail when handling acquisition and contract-related information.
Requirements
- Active Secret clearance required.
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field and 3 -9 years of related experience and/or experience as a contract specialist.
- Excellent communicator.
- Ability to manage competing tasks; well organized and strong attention to detail.
- Easily works within and across teams.
- Familiar working with technical professionals and other SMEs.
- Strong meeting coordination and facilitation skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite products; mid-level Excel proficiency. Proficient with SharePoint.
- Experience working in a complex cyberspace operation and/or multi-stakeholder environment (preferred).
- Basic financial policy knowledge and reporting experience a plus.
