Job Description
Markon is seeking a Test Specialist to support the Naval Nuclear Laboratorys's A4W
Fleet Interactive Training Equipment (FITE). FITEs are high-fidelity simulation platforms used to develop and maintain the operational readiness skills of the deployed fleet.
NOTE: This role does require work to be done onsite at the West Mifflin, PA location regularly, but this position can be done remotely 10% of the time.

Responsibilities
- Support the A4W FITE platform, and will cross-train to support the A1B FITE
platform. - Certify hardware and software based field changes prior to deployment to
the FITE sites. - Focus on plant operations and confirm FITE operational values.
with expected plant response. Test Engineers also - Support other groups as they develop field changes as these groups leverage the Bettis located FITE preproduction units.
Qualifications
Required:
- Must have active DOE L clearance or a DoD Secret clearance to be considered.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or engineering technology from an accredited college or university -
- 6+ years of relevant experience.
- Previous A4W qualification as Engineering Officer of the Watch (EOOW), Propulsion Plant Watch Officer (PPWO), or Engineering Watch Supervisor (EWS).
- Semiannual travel to other NNPP sites
- Ability to cross-train on the A1B platform - Ability to learn the simulation software platform.

- Ability to team and solve complex problems.
- Ability to work independently and complete assignments for all aspects of work with minimal direction from management.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
Travel:
- Travel to CONUS locations is required semi-annually (or less than 10%).
