Location: San Diego, CA (Hybrid, 2+ days onsite per week)

Overview
We are seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to support a large-scale enterprise network environment serving mission-critical operations. This role will focus on the design, implementation, modernization, and support of enterprise monitoring and automation solutions across complex infrastructure environments.
The ideal candidate will have strong expertise with the SolarWinds Orion platform, Windows Server administration, enterprise networking, virtualization technologies, and scripting/automation. This position offers the opportunity to work on a highly visible infrastructure modernization effort supporting a large, distributed network environment.
Key Responsibilities
Design, implement, maintain, and optimize the SolarWinds Orion platform and associated monitoring solutions.
Support the upgrade and modernization of enterprise monitoring infrastructure.
Configure and manage SolarWinds modules including:
Network Performance Monitor (NPM)
Server & Application Monitor (SAM)
Network Configuration Manager (NCM)
Storage Resource Monitor (SRM)
IP Address Manager (IPAM)
Web Performance Monitor (WPM)
Network Traffic Analyzer (NTA)
Virtualization Manager (VMAN)
Collaborate with infrastructure, networking, virtualization, and security teams to ensure integrated system performance.
Develop technical documentation, standards, operational procedures, and best practices.
Create and deliver training to operations and support teams.
Troubleshoot complex systems, application, and network-related issues.
Serve as a subject matter expert for enterprise monitoring and observability solutions.
Support implementation of automation and monitoring improvements using scripting and orchestration tools.
Required Qualifications
5+ years of experience designing and implementing monitoring, automation, or management solutions within enterprise data center environments.
5+ years of experience administering and supporting Windows Server infrastructure.
3+ years of hands-on experience with the SolarWinds Orion Suite.
3+ years of experience supporting mid-sized to enterprise-scale network environments.
2+ years of experience in an IT operations or infrastructure support role.
Experience architecting, deploying, securing, troubleshooting, and documenting integrated server and network solutions.
Strong experience with:

Splunk
VMware
Windows Server
Linux
PowerShell
AWS
Ability to work onsite in San Diego at least two days per week.
Active Secret Clearance.
High School Diploma or GED.
IAT Level II Certification such as Security+ CE, CCNA, or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Experience with Python scripting and automation.
Experience with enterprise server, storage, networking, software, and application services.
Experience with cloud technologies and hybrid infrastructure environments.
Strong network engineering knowledge.
CASP+, CISSP, or other advanced cybersecurity certifications.
