Sensor Fusion is seeking a dynamic Software Project Manager who will serve as Deputy Lead for the Fusion Integrated Product Team (IPT). The ideal candidate will combine strong project-management expertise with deep engineering know-how to drive complex, multi-disciplinary programs from concept through production. This role will support the Block Captain in steering technical direction, managing schedules, risks, and resources, and ensuring compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.
In this role you will:
- Drive software development & integration - Oversee software development, integration, and verification activities, ensuring deliverables meet technical, schedule, and quality objectives.
- Support the integrated software program plan - Work in cooperation with the CAM to develop, maintain, and regularly baseline the IPT-wide schedule, cost baseline, and performance target documents; track earned-value, forecast variances, and drive corrective actions to keep the program on-track.
- Collaborate with other Program IPTs - Act as the primary liaison between the Software IPT and Systems, Test, Hardware, and Mission-Level IPTs; align milestone dates, data-exchange interfaces, and resource commitments across the full program architecture.
- Work with software functional leadership to establish demand for program efforts and assist in staffing planning activities
- Conduct trade studies, risk analyses, and mitigation planning to protect schedule and budget health.
- Oversee and manage process adherance and collaborate with other key decision makers on continous sofware development plan improvements
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related STEM discipline
- Previous experience in Mission Systems Software or embedded software for development programs.
- Previous experience as a Product Owner and/or Capability Owner
- Previous experience in an Agile software program with Program Increment Planning, Scrum, and Sprint Planning across multiple software components/teams
- Previous experience with full software anomaly triage lifecycle
Desired Skills
- Previous experience as a Cost Account Manager (CAM)
- Strong communication and cross organization capabilities to work with all Program IPT teams
- Previous experience with proposals and basis of estimates
- Previous experience with building agile release schedules and conducting program increment planning events
