The Joint, Office of the Secretary of War, Interagency Division (JOID) provides expert support services to a range of customers spanning across the Department of Defense, Federal Civilian, and international markets. JOID provides a diverse portfolio of analytical and programmatic capabilities to help our customers make informed decisions on their most challenging issues.
Group W provides wargaming, warfare modeling and simulation, software development, data analytics, and operations research/system analysis support to the national security mission. As a leader in the fields of campaign, mission, and wargaming analysis we embrace the cycle of research paradigm, continually seeking to improve the multi-method application of tools, data, methods, and techniques to generate credible and resilient insights to inform decisions on the Department's most challenging issues spanning CONOPs, acquisitions, force structures, tactics, and strategies.
Group W has an immediate need for an Office Services Specialist to work part-time onsite with the team at our Dumfries, VA location.
Responsibilities
This role provides general administrative support to ensure the efficient organization and daily operations of the Group W Dumfries office. The position plays a key role in maintaining a professional, functional, and well-supported work environment for staff. Responsibilities include managing conference room scheduling and ensuring office spaces are properly arranged to support daily activities and meetings. The role oversees the stocking of refreshments, upkeep of common areas, and overall office conditions, as well as the acquisition and set up of office supplies, equipment, and other necessary items as needed. Responsible for maintaining electronic files and records in accordance with company policies. Duties may also involve handling classified materials and maintaining passwords and access for classified systems. Serves as a point-of-contact for facility-related needs, coordinating with building management and maintenance personnel to address any issues in a timely manner. Support the preparation of physical spaces for meetings, events, or operational needs. This role requires flexibility to perform a broad range of standard office management and administrative tasks as needed to support the business.

Qualifications
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and standard office tools.
- Effective time management, collaboration skills, and good attention-to-detail.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
Desired:
- Active Secret clearance.
- Experience supporting DoD, military service, or government offices.
- Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Familiarity with scheduling, correspondence management, and basic document control practices.
