Baer is looking for SAP PPS Architect for a 6 month Federal Project located in Knoxville Area, TN.

Title: SAP PPS Architect
Location: Hybrid - Knoxville Area, TN
Duration: 6 months
Rate: Hourly Plus Expenses Reimbursed
Alignment: W2 or C2C

Position Overview

Lead Procurement and Supply Chain functional discovery for Workstream 4 - Future-State Requirements and Business Process Discovery. Facilitate business workshops, assess current-state processes, identify transformation priorities, and define opportunities to align Procurement with SAP standard capabilities and PPS requirements.

Description:

• Lead Procurement and Supply Chain discovery workshops with business and functional stakeholders.
• Document current-state Source-to-Pay (S2P) processes, pain points, gaps, and transformation priorities.
• Conduct high-level process-to-standard assessments for Procurement in Workstream.
• Evaluate return-to-standard opportunities and identify areas for process simplification.
• Assess PPS (Public Procurement for the Public Sector) integration and functional requirements.
• Contribute to the future-state process hierarchy and fit-to-standard framework.
• Identify key functional gaps, dependencies, and opportunities for process harmonization.
• Provide recommendations and inputs for the future-state SAP S/4HANA transformation roadmap.
• Collaborate with SAP functional leads, business SMEs, technical teams, and program leadership.

Requirements:

• Expert-level experience in SAP Procurement and Supply Chain architecture and business process design.
• Strong experience with SAP S/4HANA Procurement and Source-to-Pay processes.
• Experience leading Procurement/Supply Chain discovery and fit-to-standard workshops.
• Strong understanding of public-sector procurement and PPS integration requirements.
• Experience assessing custom processes and identifying return-to-standard opportunities.
• Strong business process mapping, requirements analysis, and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage business and executive stakeholders.
