The HR & Talent Acquisition Coordinator serves as a shared resource providing operational and administrative support to both the Human Resources and Talent Acquisition teams, with approximately 70% of responsibilities focused on HR operations and 30% supporting recruiting activities. This role ensures compliance, data accuracy, and a positive employee and candidate experience throughout the employee lifecycle. The Coordinator supports a geographically dispersed workforce across all 50 states, including employees covered by Service Contract Act (SCA) wage determinations and other government contracting requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Human Resources (70%)
Employee Onboarding & New Hire Administration
- Coordinate pre-employment requirements, including background checks, drug screenings, employment eligibility verification, documentation, and onboarding schedules.
- Prepare new hire paperwork and facilitate onboarding and orientation activities.
- Partner with hiring managers to ensure a seamless onboarding experience.
- Monitor completion of onboarding tasks and required training.
HR Operations & Employee Records
- Maintain accurate employee records within the HRIS and ATS systems, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
- Process employee lifecycle changes, including hires, transfers, promotions, compensation changes, leaves of absence, and terminations.
- Complete employment verifications and respond to routine employee requests.
- Maintain I-9, E-Verify, training, certification, and policy acknowledgment records.
- Assist with organizational reporting, employee rosters, and HR data audits.
- Support HR compliance initiatives and record retention requirements.
Employee Support & Administration
- Serve as a first point of contact for employee inquiries and direct questions to the appropriate HR team member.
- Assist with employee engagement programs, recognition initiatives, and HR communications.
- Coordinate training sessions and track completion of required training programs.
- Support annual HR processes such as performance reviews, benefits enrollment, and compliance reporting.
Talent Acquisition (30%)
Recruiting Coordination
- Launch and monitor background checks for candidates.
- Manage job postings across internal and external career sites.
- Create, maintain, and close requisitions within the ATS.
- Audit recruiting activity to ensure candidate records, dispositions, and hiring documentation are complete and compliant.
- Coordinate candidate interviews and scheduling activities.
- Assist recruiters and hiring managers with interview logistics and communication.
- Monitor ATS data accuracy and identify opportunities for process improvement.
- Coordinate employee referral program administration.
Sourcing & Recruiting Support
- Source candidates for proposal efforts and strategic business opportunities.
- Conduct resume searches within internal databases, ATS, LinkedIn, and other sourcing tools.
- Build and maintain candidate pipelines for high-volume and recurring positions.
- Create and distribute candidate outreach campaigns.
- Support recruiting events, career fairs, and hiring initiatives.
- Assist with employment branding initiatives, recruiting marketing materials, and talent community engagement.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 3 year of experience in Human Resources, Talent Acquisition, Recruiting Coordination, HR Operations, or a related administrative role.
- Experience using HRIS and/or Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).
- Experience maintaining confidential employee and candidate information.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting a multi-state workforce.
- Experience with government contracting environments.
- Knowledge of Service Contract Act (SCA), Wage Determinations, and related compliance requirements.
- Experience supporting onboarding, employee records management, and recruitment coordination.
- Familiarity with E-Verify, I-9 compliance, and employment verification processes.
In addition, U.S Citizenship is required. Select applicants will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information and be able to obtain a government-granted security clearance. Individuals may also be subject to a background investigation including, but not limited to criminal history, employment and education verification, drug testing, and creditworthiness.
The compensation range for this position is $60,000 - $75,000. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to location, skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
