BAE Systems is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team of professionals as a Field Service Technician. The qualified candidate will support sustainment of large transmitters and receivers including conducting hands-on maintenance, LRU replacements, system checkouts, hardware inspections, and field repairs. This role directly supports preventative maintenance, contingency operations, and readiness activities across geographically dispersed sites. The FSR will maintain a logistics supply point and receive assets to and from the worldwide sites. The FSR will provide serviceable replacement assets on demand at various locations, receive malfunctioning assets, and maintain a spares replenishment pool. The FSR must display strong interpersonal communication skills and build technical relationships with the customer community, while representing the company in a professional manner.
Key Responsibilities:
Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and the nature of this role, this position is performed 100% full-time on-site at a BAE Systems customer facility.

Full-Time Salary Range: $97008 - $164914
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct planned periodic maintenance, system startup, calibrations, coolant checks, corrosion-control tasks, fiber cleaning, and other preventative maintenance tasks.
- Perform organizational level troubleshooting and replace LRUs RF components, UPS units, network components, and spare cabling assemblies.
- Support patching activities on servers and network switches, performing functional verification steps under direction of the Field Support Engineer.
- Maintain tools/test equipment assigned to each system-including dedicated toolboxes, calibrated measurement gear, and specialty field tools-and ensure proper accountability.
- Support OCONUS contingency operations when required; fulfill all ITAR, medical, and mandatory theater training.
- Provide accurate documentation of maintenance actions, spare usage, and configuration changes for data management and CDRL compliance.
- FSR will require technical certification for the replacement, installation, cleaning, and maintenance of fiber optic cables
- Must be comfortable and proficient with hand tools to include drills, screw drivers, grinders, wrenches, and electronic test equipment
- Provide informal OJT to technicians at deployed locations

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- Associate degree or technical certification in electronics, RF systems, mechanical/electrical technology, or equivalent experience.
- 2+ years field maintenance or technician experience on complex mission systems.
- Fluent in maintenance manuals, wiring diagrams and HVAC diagrams and troubleshoot appropriately
- Willingness and ability to travel CONUS/OCONUS for preventative maintenance and contingency operations.
- Experience using common diagnostic tools and test equipment (e.g., fiber testers, multimeters, torque tools, etc.).
- Knowledge about expeditionary HVAC systems including gaseous and liquid cooling types
- Ability to lift at least 50 pounds and work on ladders.
- Active Secret clearance is required; with the ability to obtain Special Access Program clearance.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
- Experience with RF systems, shelters, or power/cooling subsystems.
- Experience running corrosion control programs
- Experience with organizational and depot level repair pools
- Active Top Secret clearance desired
- Security + desired
