Cloud Architect
Remote

Blu Omega is seeking a Cloud Architect to support a federal program focused on cloud modernization and enterprise applications. This role operates within a remote environment and is responsible for designing, developing, and guiding the implementation of enterprise-scale cloud solutions supporting mission-critical systems. The position requires experience supporting cloud architecture, integration, and modernization initiatives within a mission-driven environment.

Program Overview
Blu Omega supports federal health and defense agencies by delivering cloud solutions, enterprise applications, and modernization services to enhance mission capability and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities
  • Architect and design enterprise-scale cloud applications and platforms using Azure, AWS, and modern cloud architecture patterns
  • Develop cloud solutions meeting scalability, security, reliability, and performance requirements aligned with mission needs
  • Lead cross-functional teams of developers, cloud engineers, designers, and testers throughout the full software development lifecycle
  • Design and implement DevOps pipelines and automated workflows for cloud and containerized applications
  • Modernize legacy applications and infrastructure through migration, refactoring, and cloud-native development
  • Design and support hybrid and container-based architectures, including Kubernetes solutions
  • Integrate enterprise systems using Azure Logic Apps, MuleSoft, TIBCO, APIs, and EDI
  • Support cloud integrations with SAP HANA and other enterprise data platforms
  • Advise clients and stakeholders on cloud strategy, architecture, and modernization best practices
  • Evaluate emerging technologies, including AI-assisted capabilities and automation, for incorporation into enterprise solutions
  • Provide technical leadership, resolve architectural challenges, and communicate technical decisions to stakeholders

Required Qualifications
  • 10+ years of software development experience
  • 5+ years of experience with Azure Logic Apps
  • 5+ years of experience with TIBCO and/or MuleSoft integration technologies
  • 5+ years of experience with SAP HANA
  • 5+ years of experience architecting or designing cloud-based systems
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and/or AWS
  • Proven experience leading software development, cloud engineering, or DevOps teams
  • Strong understanding of modern cloud architecture, enterprise integration, APIs, and automation
  • Ability to provide technical guidance and communicate complex solutions effectively
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related field

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience leading Agile development teams
  • Developing applications using Node.js
  • Working with Angular or React frameworks
  • Designing or delivering AI-enhanced applications
  • Knowledge of identity and authentication technologies such as SSO, SAML, OpenID
  • Supporting federal or mission-critical enterprise environments including health sectors
  • Experience with Kubernetes, containerization, and hybrid cloud architectures

Compensation
Salary Range: $115,000.00 - $135,000.00
Final compensation is based on technical skills, experience, education, certifications, and clearance.
