The Work
The Site Manager will serve as the operational lead at the Maui client site, located on Mount Haleakala. This role is responsible for ensuring mission continuity, workforce integration, and effective communication with government representatives while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, security, and logistics.

Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee all contractor personnel and integrated Operations & Maintenance ( O&M ) functions at the site.
- Provide site-level leadership to ensure smooth, uninterrupted operations, including managing staffing coverage, workforce integration, and organizational alignment.
- Serve as decision authority for after-hours operations and emergencies.
- Train and cross-train site personnel to ensure coverage across quality, security, logistics, facilities, and operational domains.
- Maintain mission support and continuity, ensuring staffing and technical readiness for space operations.
- Ensure compliance with safety, security, quality, maintenance, and logistics protocols.
- Oversee coordination with the host installation to ensure smooth operations and integration.
- Anticipate and respond to incidents, outages, inspections, emergencies, and performance challenges promptly and effectively.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with site Government customers to address operational needs, concerns, and performance issues.
- Actively participate in site-level events, inspections, and visits, serving as the primary interface for incidents and emergencies.
- Coordinate-but not routinely perform-bargaining-unit or specialized technical work unless separately qualified and authorized.
- Oversee emergency response and quality assurance programs across multiple site functions, ensuring managerial capabilities in mission-critical tasks.

- Bachelor's degree in engineering, operations, business, space operations, or related fields preferred; equivalent senior military or technical leadership experience may be accepted.
- Minimum 8+ years of experience in technical operations or mission-oriented O&M, including 3+ years in a leadership capacity for a site, detachment, shift organization, or related workforce.
- Demonstrated expertise in leadership, staffing, customer relations, incident management, cross-functional integration, remote site operations, CBA awareness, and risk/quality management.
- Top Secret/ SCI Clearance is required.
- Must be able to pass a background check. May require additional background checks as required by projects and/or clients at any time during employment.

- Exceptional written and verbal communication.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with high-level attention to detail.
- Proven ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast past environment with changing priorities; adaptable to change and a quick learner.
- Must be self-motivated and able to work well independently as well as on a multi-functional team.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately
- Proficient in MS Office, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Strong leadership and operations management skills with the ability to ensure workforce integration and alignment with mission objectives.
- Effective communicator and problem-solver under challenging conditions, including emergencies.
- Broad knowledge of technical systems, including optical, electrical, mechanical, and classified systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Credentials such as PMP, facilities safety, mission operations, or quality control certifications highly desirable.

Working Conditions
- Remote high-elevation site on Mount Haleakala featuring variable weather conditions (wind, cold, rain), stairs/ladders, and specialized equipment rooms.
- 24/7 operational readiness, with an expectation of occasional after-hours support for incidents, exercises, deadlines, and travel obligations.
- Must safely operate in proximity to sensitive and classified optical, mechanical, and electrical systems.
- Must be physically and mentally able to perform duties extended periods of time.
- Ability to use a computer and other office productivity tools with sufficient speed to meet the demands of this position.
- Must be able to establish a productive and professional workspace.
- May be asked to work a flexible schedule which may include holidays.
- May be asked to travel for business or professional development purposes.
- May be asked to work hours outside of normal business hours.
