Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications. For positions that perform IT responsibilities, use E646, Systems Engr-IT.

- Portfolio Support
- Execute duties as the lead Electrical Systems Engineer (ESE)
- Coordinates updates and lessons learned across ESE Roles and Tranches
- Manage and decompose of system/subsystem/component specs
- Manage ICDs
- Review EIDPs and other Subcontract materials
- Design, Modeling & Analysis
- Build/Release Power Analysis for all scenarios
- Manage Power Control Board
- Develop Loads table
- Develop Electrical compatibility analysis
- Build/Release Channelization
- Review/Approve harness assemblies
- Manage Fault Management Plan and FDIR definition
- Integration, Test & Operations
- Develop and review ATLO Test Plan(s) and Test Procedure(s)
- Manage EMRB/FRB/Qnotes/UVFs
- Support SV Product Certs
- Develop and review Recommended Operating Procedures

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in an Engineering, Computer Science, or closely related subject area, or equivalent experience
- Working knowledge or experience within electrical systems engineering
- Experience with one or more Systems Engineering functions including:
- System trade studies, CONOPS, and/or System modeling
- Requirements, Interface Control Document (ICD), or Interface Definition Document (IDD) development
- System Integration, Fault Management, Test and/or Verification
- Test planning and execution with an understanding of all the interdependencies
- Must have an active or current Secret with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance, thus US Citizenship is required
Desired Skills
- 10+ years experience with spacecraft or ground system architecture design, development, integration, test, with knowledge of space, missile and launch systems at the component through system level
- Ability to communicate and coordinate work as one team with common goals
- Experience in Fault Managment
- Experience in managing Power Budget
- Knowledge of Model-Based Systems Engineering tools (Cameo, Rhapsody, etc)
- Experience with a software scripting/programming language (e.g. Python, HTML, Matlab, Visual Basic, C/C++, etc.)
- Experience with Agile workflows and software (Jira, GitLab)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong social skills, and ability to build consensus among peers while building solid relationships with team members
- Demonstrated behaviors of a systems thinker with the ability to select and apply appropriate systems thinking skills to solve problems and implement constructive change
- Proficient in AI prompting as it applies to this position and practice
