Position Summary
The Special Security Representative (SSR) will support the daily management and implementation of Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) security and administrative functions within a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF). The SSR will work closely with military senior leaders, parent Special Security Offices, and Army Reserve Military Intelligence personnel to maintain a compliant and operationally ready SCI security program.
This role requires sound judgment, close attention to detail, and the ability to translate security regulations and policy into effective day-to-day practices. The successful candidate will help ensure that personnel, facilities, records, and training platforms meet applicable SCI security requirements, including Intelligence Community Directive 705 (ICD-705) standards.

The projected compensation range for this position is $110,000.00 to $150,000.00 (annualized USD). Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Support the day-to-day administration and management of SCI security operations within the SCIF.
- Implement, maintain, and monitor SCI security protocols, procedures, and internal controls.
- Assist military senior leaders with SCI program management, policy development, planning, and operational integration.
- Coordinate with parent Special Security Offices to align local security practices with higher-level guidance and directives.
- Advise leadership and personnel on applicable SCI security regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Monitor program compliance, identify deficiencies, and recommend or implement corrective actions.
- Support the training readiness of Army Reserve Military Intelligence Soldiers by ensuring that training platforms and facilities comply with ICD-705 standards.
- Maintain accurate records of SCI security activities, inspections, incidents, corrective actions, and other required program documentation.
- Prepare and submit reports, briefings, and security documentation to leadership and relevant security offices.
- Respond to security incidents within the SCIF, support or conduct investigations, document findings, and coordinate corrective measures.
- Develop and deliver SCI security education, awareness, and training for assigned personnel.
- Reinforce personnel compliance with established security policies, procedures, and safeguarding requirements.
Requirements
- Must have at least 5 years of experience as a special security representative in an SCI environment, security program administration, or a closely related field.
- Must have practical experience with ICD-705 requirements and SCIF compliance.
- Working knowledge of SCI security regulations, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
- Experience maintaining security records, preparing reports, and supporting inspections or compliance reviews.
- Experience conducting security education, incident response, investigations, or corrective-action follow-up.
- Ability to communicate effectively with military leaders, security offices, and personnel at multiple organizational levels.
- Ability to respond to sensitive security matters with discretion, professionalism, and sound judgment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Experience supporting an Army, Army Reserve, Department of Defense, Intelligence Community, or government-contractor security program.
- Experience coordinating with a Special Security Office or serving in an SSR, SSO, security specialist, or comparable role.
Education
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
Clearance
- Active TS security clearance with SCI eligibility.
