Job Description
Conviso Inc is hiring MBI Public Trust Cleared Security SME position. This is a 100% Remote set-up position & comes with benefits, 401K & some accrued PTO. The Ideal Candidate will support enterprise security operations, vulnerability remediation, and infrastructure hardening within a federal Azure environment.
Position Title: Security SME
Remote Roles
Candidate should possess MBI Public Trust Clearance.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead security patching and vulnerability remediation activities across Azure and Windows Server environments.
• Plan, coordinate, and validate monthly patch deployments while minimizing operational impact.
• Analyze, prioritize, and remediate vulnerabilities identified through Microsoft Defender and Nessus.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud, and application teams to resolve security findings and implement corrective actions.
• Monitor security posture, track remediation efforts, and provide status reporting to project leadership.
• Support security audits, compliance initiatives, and continuous monitoring activities.
• Develop and maintain security documentation, remediation plans, and operational procedures.
Required Skills & Experience
• 10+ years of Cyber Security or Infrastructure Security experience.
• Strong hands-on experience patching Windows Server environments in Microsoft Azure.
• Experience identifying and resolving vulnerabilities using Microsoft Defender and Nessus.
• Strong understanding of Windows Server administration, security hardening, and vulnerability management.
• Experience supporting enterprise patch management and security compliance programs.
• Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and documentation skills.
Desired Skills & Domain Experience
• MBI Clearance required.
• Federal/Government project experience strongly preferred.
• Experience with Azure Security Center/Defender for Cloud, Microsoft Defender suite, and enterprise security best practices.
• Knowledge of NIST, FedRAMP, FISMA, or other federal security frameworks is a plus.
