Job Description

Yellowfin Technology is proactively building a pipeline of qualified Systems Engineers (SE0–SE3) for an upcoming Intelligence Community opportunity.

Candidates will be considered for the level that best aligns with their education, years of relevant experience, and demonstrated systems engineering capabilities.

What You'll Do

Depending on level and assignment, responsibilities may include:

Perform systems engineering activities throughout the system development lifecycle.
Analyze, develop, document, and manage system and mission requirements.
Translate stakeholder and operational needs into system, technical, and derived requirements.
Develop and support Concepts of Operations (CONOPS).
Support system architecture, engineering, and design activities.
Define and analyze system interfaces, dependencies, and information exchanges.
Support hardware, software, network, and mission-system integration.
Perform system-level analysis to identify technical risks, gaps, dependencies, and integration challenges.
Develop and maintain requirements traceability.
Support system verification, validation, integration, and test activities.
Develop test plans, procedures, engineering documentation, and technical reports.
Coordinate with government customers, developers, operators, program managers, and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
Participate in technical reviews, design reviews, engineering meetings, and working groups.
Evaluate proposed system changes and assess technical and mission impacts.
Support resolution of complex systems engineering and integration challenges.
At senior levels, lead engineering efforts, mentor engineers, coordinate multiple technical activities, and provide technical recommendations to program and customer leadership.

Minimum Qualification Levels
Systems Engineer 0 (SE0)
0–1 year of relevant experience.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a relevant technical discipline from an ABET-accredited program.

Entry-level candidates with relevant internship, military, academic, laboratory, or early-career systems engineering experience are encouraged to apply.

Systems Engineer 1 (SE1)
Bachelor's degree from an ABET-accredited program + 3 years of relevant experience; or
Master's degree from an ABET-accredited program + 1 year of relevant experience.
Systems Engineer 2 (SE2)
Bachelor's degree from an ABET-accredited program + 7 years of relevant experience; or
Master's degree from an ABET-accredited program + 5 years of relevant experience.

Candidates should demonstrate progressively responsible experience with requirements, architecture, system design, interfaces, integration, lifecycle engineering, and stakeholder coordination.

Systems Engineer 3 (SE3)
Bachelor's degree from an ABET-accredited program + 10 years of relevant experience; or
Master's degree from an ABET-accredited program + 8 years of relevant experience.

Candidates should demonstrate senior-level systems engineering experience supporting complex or enterprise systems and be capable of leading engineering activities, coordinating across technical organizations, and providing technical guidance to customers and program leadership.
