Sr. Revenue Accountant (Remote)

Job Title: Senior Revenue Accountant (Contract/Interim)
Location: Fully Remote (U.S.)
Employment Type: Contract / Interim (Potential Temp-to-Hire). Possibility of permanent conversion
Pay: Competitive: $57-62/hour, based on experience

Position Overview:

We are working with a technology company that is seeking a Senior Revenue Accountant to support a growing accounting team with revenue accounting operations and month-end close activities.

This position will focus on revenue recognition, deferred revenue accounting, reconciliations, and revenue-related reporting. The ideal candidate will have strong ASC 606 knowledge, hands-on NetSuite experience, and the ability to quickly learn and navigate existing accounting processes in a fast-paced environment.

This position is fully remote, with a preference for candidates located in the Central or Eastern time zones. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. CST.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end revenue close activities
• Review and maintain deferred revenue schedules and reconciliations
• Apply ASC 606 guidance to revenue transactions and contract reviews
• Perform account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies
• Conduct flux analysis and prepare supporting schedules
• Assist with revenue-related reporting and audit requests
• Review customer contracts and validate revenue recognition treatment
• Support SEC disclosure schedules and close-related activities as needed
• Work within NetSuite to process and manage revenue accounting transactions
• Assist with documentation of accounting procedures and process improvements
• Partner with internal teams to ensure accurate revenue reporting
• Perform ad-hoc accounting projects and other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• 4+ years of accounting experience with significant revenue accounting exposure
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
• Strong knowledge of ASC 606 and revenue recognition principles
• NetSuite ARM (Advanced Revenue Management) experience preferred
• SaaS or software industry experience preferred
• CPA or public company accounting experience. CPA or CPA-track candidate is a plus
