Job Description

The Senior Operations Advisor will lead a large-scale document digitization initiative, based on-site at the Embassy, acting as principal advisor to the Public
Affairs section. The Project Manager will oversee the full project lifecycle - from office setup and team recruitment through digitization, quality control, and final
delivery - ensuring all work meets Council on Library and Information Resources(CLIR) standards, timeline, and budget requirements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
a. Coordinate the procurement and installation of all necessary equipment and furniture in accordance with best practices.
b. Collaborate with CLIR, Embassy staff, and the training team to recruit and onboard technicians who meet security clearance requirements.
c. Supervise a team of project technicians throughout the digitization process, ensuring deliverables are completed accurately and on schedule.
d. Maintain a safe and productive work environment for all team members.
e. Provide intrinsic stakeholder communication & reporting.
f. Prepare and deliver regular status reports in coordination with CLIR.
g. Manage third-party vendor contracts and maintain clear communication with all project stakeholders. Serve as liaison to key contacts within the Government
of Iraq, establishing and maintaining relationships that strengthen the Embassy's ability to achieve its goals.
h. Brief and advise senior management on operational developments, trends, and issues of significant interest.
i. Advise senior leadership in responding to new and emergent operational requirements.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of project management or supervisory experience, preferably with the U.S. State Department or comparable NGOs operating in complex
environments.

Preferred

• Familiarity with collection digitization and documentation, metadata standards, digital preservation strategies, and cataloging systems.
• Experience managing projects in high-security or international settings.
