Job Description
The Transportation Logistics Support Specialist:
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordinates with the contracting companies at the U.S. Embassy to complete required submissions for shuttle travel; Monitor trends for shuttle operations and coordinate with Embassy for proper reporting; Maintain accurate records and reports as required for passenger manifesting on shuttles; Advise DoS personnel on shuttle management; develop trend reports and forecasts that highlight potential service short falls; consult with MGT staff to evaluate measures and mitigations; Coordinate with RSO and BIAP agents for smooth shuttle operations during passenger transit; Prepare and coordinate standard logistical tracking for shuttle operations; Coordinate with the Baghdad Embassy sections as needed to process to accommodate shuttle operations; Conduct daily status checks of all passenger manifests and logs; Check daily with shuttle provider, GSO, and Al Burhan Group (ABG) to ensure operations are maintained; Maintain records of all shuttle operations correspondence; Perform other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Associate's degree OR a minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in a related field.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.

- Provides technical support to the Logistics Management Center (LMC) and General Services Office (GSO), at the U.S. Embassy Baghdad.
- Coordinates shuttle transportation for contractor personnel transiting to/from Baghdad International Airport (BIAP).
- Implements various tracking and other data management tools, utilizing DOS database systems.
- Monitors the movement of contractors throughout the travel process from the shuttle through commercial travel through BIAP.
