Job Description
The Digitization Technician will work closely with the US Embassy, Baghdad (USMI), and the Council on Library and Information Resources (CLIR) to digitize
the Collection for preservation. The technician will report to the on-site Project Manager.
Technicians will provide support for documentation and digitization best practices, including but not limited to document conservation methodology,
professional camera setup and important parameters, practical training of photo documentation and photo editing, documenting manuscripts and
archival materials (dos and don'ts), and information technology, data management, and data preservation.

- A strong aptitude for learning and adapting to various hardware and software, including audiovisual equipment, scanners, and personal computers.
- Must be able to work independently as well as within a team.
- Exhibits proficiency with multiple operating systems and applications, e.g.,
- Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, Word, and/or Google Suite.
