Software Developer
Atlanta, GA / Hybrid

Blu Omega is seeking a Software Developer to support a federal program focused on enterprise applications. This role operates within an on-site environment and is responsible for designing, developing, and delivering end-to-end software solutions supporting mission-critical government programs. The position requires experience supporting software development across full lifecycle, including front-end, back-end, database, and cloud technologies.

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain responsive, high-performing web applications using frameworks such as React and Angular
  • Develop and integrate front-end and back-end components using C#, .NET, Java, SQL, and PostgreSQL
  • Build and incorporate applications leveraging code-based generative AI capabilities to enhance automation and user experience
  • Develop and support RESTful API services for secure and scalable application functionality
  • Collaborate with developers, architects, and DevOps engineers to deliver complete software solutions
  • Utilize Git, CI/CD pipelines, and DevSecOps practices for code quality, secure deployments, and continuous improvement
  • Deploy applications using Azure-native cloud services and other cloud technologies
  • Troubleshoot, optimize, and resolve application issues to improve performance, scalability, and usability
  • Recommend and implement design and architectural improvements aligned with evolving technology and user needs
  • Work with relational and NoSQL databases and support data integration efforts
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, code reviews, and software lifecycle activities
  • Evaluate emerging development tools, frameworks, and techniques to enhance team efficiency

Required Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in software development, modification, and implementation
  • Experience building or integrating applications with code-based generative AI capabilities
  • Proficiency with front-end frameworks such as React or Angular
  • Solid background in back-end development using .NET, Java, or similar frameworks
  • Hands-on experience with Azure cloud services
  • Experience with SQL databases; familiarity with NoSQL is a plus
  • Ability to develop full stack, end-to-end solutions
  • Experience working within an Agile Scrum environment
  • Knowledge of Git, CI/CD processes, automated deployments, and DevSecOps practices
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or related field
  • Located in the Atlanta Metro area
  • U.S. Citizen

  • Azure or AWS Developer certification
  • Master's degree in a related field

Compensation
Salary Range: $125,000 - $145,000
