Senior IT Procurement Specialist

Overview

Tecolote Research is seeking a Senior IT Procurement Specialist responsible for drafting pre-award materials and maintaining requirements data across all of a DHS Component's IT contracts.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert guidance on contract types and SOWs
• Manage the end-to-end approval process through PR and financial workflows
  
  Pre-Award Support
  • Prepare and manage work packages and required review artifacts for multiple acquisition actions across fiscal years
  • Provide regular updates to procurement request (PR) tracking tools
  • Maintain and update SOPs, incorporating stakeholder feedback
  • Develop and review requirements documentation to support acquisition planning
  • Identify process improvements and produce corresponding guidance materials
  • Maintain and use acquisition planning tools for operational and strategic pre-award activities
  • Draft and refine internal guidance for management of contract data within contract management systems
  • Develop and update acquisition strategy materials for leadership review
  • Analyze and coordinate movement of requirements through internal review and approval systems
    
    Post-Award COR Support
    • Support the COR by providing continuous PR package support including modification, tracking logs, and required continuous document development
    • Updated tracking systems with current cost and schedule information
    • Daily update of the Agency IT tracker for status of suitability of contractor personnel
      
      Skills Required
      
      
      • US citizenship required
      • 10+ years professional work experience
      • Ability to obtain an active Secret clearance and DHS Suitability
      • Ability to perform duties independently
        
        Salary range: $90,000 - $125,000/Year, depending on experience and qualifications
        
        Education
        
        Bachelor's degree required, preferably in math, engineering, business, or the sciences.
