You must have one year of Supply System Analyst specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-07) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector applying a practical knowledge of a wide-range of well-established and commonly applied supply program management information systems and supply chain management regulations and interrelated processes for a wide range of products and services managed at stock points and other activity locations. You must have demonstrated experience utilizing multiple complex supply software systems and databases to provide technical assistance, customers' worldwide supply support and resolve production systems-related issues. You must have demonstrated experience utilizing knowledge of interrelated supply processes to identify and act upon supply programs and system support requirements and deficiencies. Examples of specialized experience include: 1) Receiving support requests and assist in resolving production system-related issues; 2) Assisting with the interpretation and analysis of statistical and supply data from multiple Automated Data Processing Systems and programs consisting of material management, physical distribution, inventory control, hazardous material (HAZMAT), and/or transportation; 3) Utilizing research and analysis techniques to interpret, evaluate alternatives and resolve and satisfy customer requirements for urgent, emergency, high priority material or service requirements; 4) Researching, compiling and evaluating data to identify patterns and causal factors of failures in order to determine and recommend solutions; and 5) Participating in studies that provide in-depth analysis and evaluation to determine effectiveness and efficiency of supply programs and logistics operations.

master's or equivalent graduate degree if related to the position

2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree if related to the position

- You will receive complex logistics requests from worldwide customers and resolve customer's mission essential support requests via telephone, emails, naval messages and faxed information.
- You will analyze, evaluate and provide technical supply support assistance and advice to Navy activities and other worldwide customers.
- You will interpret and analyze statistical or supply data from multiple automated data processing systems and programs.
- You will receive requirements for urgent, high priority material or service requirements critical to meet Fleet operation inspection and training schedules to prevent work stoppage and other emergencies and satisfy other requirements.
- You will be a technical advisor for supply and logistic products and services provided by the NAVSUP enterprise, furnishing technical advice and guidance to the Fleet and other supply activities concerning distribution and storage operations.
- You will collect data for trend analysis to resolve issues and conflicting program requirements.
- You will identify and act upon supply programs and system support requirements and deficiencies, analyzing supply support methods and recommending action for short-term solutions and long-term resolution of these problems.
- You will research, compile and evaluate data to identify patterns, causal factors and failures and determine solutions, developing statistical data, preparing charts and submitting reports for formal presentations or conferences.
