The Work
The Systems Administrator will provide continuous on-site administration, support, and restoration of classified mission systems. This position demands a high level of technical expertise, operational readiness, and dedication to ensure 24/7 mission-critical systems remain operational, secure, and compliant with all applicable regulations and directives.

Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure consistent real-time support of mission systems operations.
- Maintain site coverage with a dedicated SA present on-site and a backup SA available for immediate response to operational needs.
- Administer and manage Windows and Red Hat/Linux operating systems, network environments, accounts, and mission applications.
- Perform routine tasks including privileges management, system backups and restoration, patching, configurations, calibrations, and troubleshooting of technical issues.
- Document system maintenance efforts, including software, hardware, and data-related preventive and corrective actions.
- Maintain thorough records for IMDS, SAR, configuration, and restoration activities to ensure traceability and reporting compliance.
- Participate in mandatory cross-training initiatives across key site technologies and operational shifts while adhering to strict Systems Administrator (SA) and Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) separation protocols.
- Support the maintenance of a cross-trained pool of five personnel proficient in Windows, Linux, networking, mission applications, accounts, patch management, backups, and configuration control.
- Ensure compliance with Government-issued security clearance, privileged access agreements, and background-screening requirements.
- Adhere to and complete all required training in security, cybersecurity, privacy, safety, and classified information protection.
- Be prepared to handle night, weekend, holiday, emergency, and mission-critical operations as needed.

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or a related field preferred; equivalent military or technical experience accepted.
- Minimum 4+ years of experience administering Windows, Linux, networked systems, or other mission-critical environments within classified or industrial settings.
- Mandatory Certifications:
- DoD 8140/DCWF qualification for assigned role.
- IAT Level II certification.
- Security+, Red Hat Linux or Linux+, and Microsoft Windows certification.
- Expertise in:
- Windows and Linux system administration.
- Network configuration and troubleshooting.
- Account and privilege management.
- Patch management and system updates.
- Backup, restoration, and configuration control.
- Preventive and corrective documentation protocols.
- 24/7 shift operations and support.
- Top Secret/ SCI Clearance is required.
- A valid passport is required, along with completed overseas medical and dental clearance.
- Must be able to pass a background check. May require additional background checks as required by projects and/or clients at any time during employment.

Working Conditions
- Assignment is located on a remote overseas island with a tropical climate characterized by high temperatures, significant humidity, and potential for inclement weather such as storms and heavy rainfall.
- Limited access to amenities, services, and healthcare may result in basic living accommodations with minimal conveniences.
- Extended logistical lead times for supplies and resources due to the remote nature of the location require advanced planning and adaptability to maintain operational effectiveness.
- Compliance with host-nation protocols, cultural expectations, and installation-specific rules is mandatory, including potential restrictions on personal activities, movement, and communication.
- Position may involve unaccompanied duty assignments, where family members or dependents are not permitted to accompany the employee to the location.
- 24/7 operational readiness, with an expectation of occasional after-hours support for incidents, exercises, deadlines, and travel obligations.
- Must safely operate in proximity to sensitive and classified optical, mechanical, and electrical systems.
- Must be physically and mentally able to perform duties extended periods of time.
- Ability to use a computer and other office productivity tools with sufficient speed to meet the demands of this position.
- Must be able to establish a productive and professional workspace.
- May be asked to work a flexible schedule which may include holidays.
- May be asked to travel for business or professional development purposes.
- May be asked to work hours outside of normal business hours.
