Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Physical Security Specialist with hands-on SCIF accreditation experience to support a high-visibility Intelligence Community program in McLean, VA. This role is focused on the full lifecycle of SCIF accreditation, construction security, facility inspections, physical security systems, and ongoing facility compliance. The ideal candidate will come from an IC or DoD security environment and have the technical depth to serve as a subject matter expert on physical security requirements, accreditation processes, policies, and risk mitigation.
Key Responsibilities
Support the accreditation and continued compliance of SCIF facilities, including new construction, renovations, and existing accredited spaces.
Prepare, review, and submit Fixed Facility Checklists (FFCs), TEMPEST documentation/addendums, and co-use agreements for review by the CTTA and Accrediting Official.
Develop and implement Construction Security Plans (CSPs) for SCIF construction and renovation projects.
Oversee secure construction activities and coordinate with Site Security Managers and other security stakeholders.
Conduct baseline, annual, and ad-hoc physical security inspections of accredited facilities.
Evaluate physical security systems, including Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS), Access Control Systems (ACS), and CCTV, for SCIF environments.
Identify physical security vulnerabilities and develop risk assessments, mitigation strategies, and waiver requests as needed.
Provide subject matter expertise related to physical security policies, procedures, and accreditation requirements.
Work closely with security leadership and other stakeholders to improve and expand security capabilities.
Required Qualifications
5+ years of physical security experience, preferably within the Intelligence Community or DoD.
Hands-on experience supporting SCIF accreditation and/or SCIF construction.
Knowledge of ICD 705 and physical/technical security requirements for Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities.
Experience with areas such as FFCs, TEMPEST, CTTA coordination, Construction Security Plans, facility inspections, IDS, ACS, and CCTV.
Ability to conduct physical security assessments and recommend appropriate remediation or mitigation strategies.
Active TS/SCI with Polygraph and ability to successfully complete clearance crossover.
Ability to work onsite 5 days per week in McLean, VA.
