Role Overview
The Logistics Operations Lead serves as a key operational leader supporting a high-visibility government warehouse and logistics program. This position combines hands-on logistics expertise with day-to-day team coordination responsibilities, ensuring inventory accuracy, operational efficiency, quality performance, and workforce effectiveness. The Logistics Operations Lead works closely with the Program Manager to execute program goals, monitor performance metrics, support workforce scheduling, and ensure warehouse operations meet customer requirements, safety standards, and quality objectives.
This position provides guidance and direction to warehouse personnel but is not responsible for full contract management, staffing authority, or overall program administration.

The compensation range for this position is $90,000-100,000. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to location, skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a pre‑employment drug test. This position is also subject to the company’s random drug testing policy.
In addition, U.S Citizenship is required. Select applicants will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information and be able to obtain a government-granted security clearance. Individuals may also be subject to a background investigation including, but not limited to criminal history, employment and education verification, drug testing, and creditworthiness.

Key Responsibilities
Warehouse Operations & Inventory Management
- Perform and coordinate material control of medical devices, equipment, accessories, and commodities in a warehouse environment.
- Support receiving, storage, inventory management, distribution, and outbound order fulfillment activities.
- Monitor inventory accuracy and assist in resolving discrepancies, gains, losses, and stock variances.
- Support inventory integrity of Government-owned property and mission stock.
- Coordinate inventory and data validation activities to ensure compliance with program requirements.
- Assist with warehouse space utilization, material flow, and workload planning.
Team Leadership & Workforce Coordination
- Provide day-to-day guidance and operational direction to warehouse staff.
- Assist with workforce scheduling, shift coverage, and resource allocation based on workload forecasts.
- Monitor productivity, work quality, and adherence to established procedures.
- Help identify and resolve operational issues before they impact mission performance.
- Support employee training and onboarding activities.
- Promote a positive team environment through effective communication and conflict resolution.
Program Support & Reporting
- Compile, analyze, and report operational and inventory data to the Program Manager.
- Track key performance indicators, quality metrics, inventory accuracy, and service levels.
- Assist in preparing reports, presentations, and status updates for government stakeholders and logistics leadership.
- Support change management initiatives and process improvement efforts.
- Recommend operational improvements that enhance efficiency, accuracy, and customer satisfaction.
Quality & Compliance
- Perform and support quality assurance reviews of warehouse operations and inventory processes.
- Ensure compliance with established SOPs, contract requirements, and warehouse best practices.
- Support OSHA compliance and maintain adherence to workplace health and safety regulations.
- Assist with audits, inspections, corrective actions, and quality improvement initiatives.
Planning & Coordination
- Assist with planning equipment, staffing, and facility utilization based on projected workloads.
- Monitor order trends and support surge planning activities.
- Coordinate with warehouse personnel, logistics teams, and customer representatives to ensure timely execution of mission requirements.
- Establish priorities and coordinate workflow to meet operational deadlines.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree, technical/trade education, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in warehouse, logistics, supply chain, or distribution operations.
- Minimum 2 years of experience leading teams, coordinating workflows, or overseeing warehouse operations.
- Experience with inventory management, warehousing, receiving, shipping, and order fulfillment processes.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and warehouse safety requirements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and warehouse management systems.
- Strong organizational, communication, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
- Ability to analyze operational data and develop actionable recommendations.
- Ability to obtain and maintain required government background investigation requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting VA, DoD, or other federal government logistics and warehouse programs.
- Experience with inventory mapping, warehouse optimization, or supply chain data analysis.
- Familiarity with government property accountability requirements.
- Experience supporting performance metrics related to inventory accuracy, staffing utilization, and operational effectiveness.
- Knowledge of material handling equipment and warehouse operations technologies.
